What happens when we get saved today

What happens when we get saved today
At different times God has a different salvation plan for us
Heb 1:1
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Tim 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Cor 6:2
For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
The name of Jesus was not revealed until Mat 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Manoah in Judges 13:17
And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour?
And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?
Jacob asked His name in Gen 32:29
And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
Solomon in Prov 30:4
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
Today that the Name of Jesus - God shall save us from our sins, and the gospel to the gentiles through Paul was revealed, today salvation in by faith in the gospel, Paul's gospel received by direct revelation not by man, it wasn't revealed to any man before Paul:
Gal 1:12
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The gospel is how that Jesus dies for us - by the shedding of His blood, for our sins, was burried and rose again for our justification:
1 Cor 15:1-4
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received - believed, and wherein ye stand - keep in memory;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain, (and then you are a forgetful hearer as the 3 types of soil that didn't understand the Word and were not saved, but the good land accepted the Word and brought forth fruit, 10 fold or 100 fold is how rewarded the field is, but if there was acceptance of the Word there is eternal salvation by the power of the Word not by the efforts of dead soil to yield fruit)
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received - (from Jesus by believing in it), how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Rom 4:25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins, thus before Jesus died for the sins of the world no body got saved from their sins:
Heb 9:22 and almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (there is purging and there is remission, there is no remission without blood)
The blood of Jesus is very different then the blood shed in the old testament of animals, it is the blood of God Himself shed fo rthe remission of our sins;
Acts 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with His Own Blood.
Heb 9:12
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eph 2:8-9 saved by faith not works
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Rom 3:25
(Jesus )Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation ( כפרה, קרבן חלופי לכפר על חוטא מפני זעם אלוהים ) through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 5:11
And not only so, but we also joy in God through (being part of the body of) our Lord Jesus Christ (Jesus rejoices in His Father God an so is His body that we are grafed into), by whom we have now received the atonement (reconsiliation, restoration to favour).
Jesus by His blood purchased unto Himself all that believed Him for eternaty:
Heb 9:23
It was therefore necessary that the (earthly) patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these (animal blood); but the heavenly things themselves (were purified and sins remitted in heaven from humanity by the better sacrifice of Jesus who in heaven remitted the sins of flesh from before God the Father by His own blood shed for the remission of our sins, which we only need to believe in to apply to ourselves to be saved - thus working out our own salvation by fear and trembling) with better sacrifices than these.
We receive remission of sins and a propitiation in the now available shed blood of Jesus Christ:
Rom 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Eph 1:7
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Rev 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Gal 3:13
13 Christ hath redeemed (ek+agorazo - to buy up us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Rom 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
'remission of sins that are past' as when we believe/ trust in His blood, we are born again of the Spirit, and that is born of God can not sin, our newly revived spirit, soul and Holy Spirit sealing the new creature can not sin, the body sins but it is not accounted ot the soul any longer after we put our faith in Jesus Blood atonement, and the peace we have with God by our faith in His finished work without adding works to our salvation.
Eph 1:7
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
By the riches of His grace He bought for us by His blood a redemption for us - redemption is the full payment, He paid for our sins in full by His blood and purchased for Himself a

peculiar people Tit 2:11-14:
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us (after the Holy Spirit sealed us and teaches us all things) that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us (paid for us by Himself - purchasing transaction) , that he might redeem (buy out in full) us from all iniquity (He paid to buy us out to the utermost from under the bondage and rule of lawlessness - anomon, to collect us and redeem our body less we be under the rule of the man of sin, for the which purpouse Jesus paid for us to redeem us) , and purify unto himself a peculiar people (purification yields peculiarity - being beyond usual יוצא דופן, סגולה, surpassing value what resides after paiment was made, peri+ to exist, planteously exist) also the term hagios for holy has a meaning of 40 hágios – properly, different (unlike), other ("otherness"), holy; for the believer, 40 (hágios) means "likeness of nature with the Lord" because "different from the world."
The fundamental (core) meaning of 40 (hágios) is "different" "set apart" and therefore "different (distinguished/distinct)" – i.e. "other," because special to the Lord.],
Peculiar because purified by the purchase by the sin crud removing Blood of Christ, the part that is left after the remission of sin is not including sin - it is the 'surplus'
zealous of good works.
Am I zelous for good works?
good!
that is a proof that He had redeamed me:
1 John 2:29
If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him.
If I do good works it is not righteousness, but filthy rags unto the Lord, for righteousness is only Jesus He had become our righteousness
1 Cor 1:30
But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
7 things we get when we believe today
1) God's imputed/ counted righteousness Rom 4:3-8
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
2) Justification Rom 3:25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Acts 13:38-39
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: He Jesus the sinless died in my place and when I receive Jesus God looks on me as if I'd never sinned as my sin is imputed unto Jesus on the cross and His righteousness is imputed unto me by faith and accepting Jesus.
39 And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Rom 5:1-2,16
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand -( believe and hold in memory, retain), and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
1 C0r 6:11
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed (in the blood of the lamb), but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
we are justified by:
A) the resurrection of Jesus
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
B) Rom 3:24 - by grace
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
C) Faith Rom 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law
D) the Blood of Jesus 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Rom 3:25 - we are saved by God's grace through our faith in Jesus' blood
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
3) Sealing of the Holy Spirit
Eph 1:13-14
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Eph 4:30-32
30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Spirit never leaves until the rapture redemption of our body
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
2 Cor 1:22
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

4) Put into the body of Christ
Jesus spoke of His body during His earthly ministry teaching that He came to take His body
The body of Christ is the church, Jesus Christ the head came to start Himself a body, all the people that are saved in the church age, a revelation made unto Paul, no one beforehen knew what the body meant
1 Cor 12:12-14, 27-31
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
We are all the body but firstly was apostles, they had miracles, are all apostles? no, do all have gifts of healing and miracles? no, as those phases were completed and those members were ordained already, if the head is Jesus, then the neck, then the shoulders, then arms etc, firstly apostles - like a neck, then prohets - sholders lets say, teachers - hands, etc.
If we are in the toes let's say, we have the functions of toes not of the neck,
Paul said there is one baptism - of the Spirit into the body, Eph 4:5-7
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Baptised by Spirit into one body 1 Cor 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Not by water baptism as John the Baptist said the one that comes after him baptises in the Spirit, Jesus came after John and never baptised in water but His desciples, after Jesus' resurection He instructed to wait until He baptises in the Spirit
John testifying of Jesus' Spirit baptism
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 And I knew him not: but that He should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 And I knew him not: but He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
Jesus Himself did not baptise in water John 4:2
Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples
Jesus promises that in not many days the desciples will be baptised with Spirit, as aposed to John that baptised with water already, Jesus points to the next coming baptism
Acts 1:5
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Paul the apostle is thankful that he batised in water only few less they say that he is baptising in water in his own name 1 Cor 1:15-17
15 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
16 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
The first baptism was that of water, the second of Spirit - breath of life, the third baptism is that of fire when the day shall declare each man's work and fire try our works 1 Cor 3:13-15
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
The word was baptised with water in the flood, then with Spirit by Jesus and a future baptism of fire by the which the elements will burn away
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Water birth of the world
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: Water judgement
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store (retained, restrained by the restrainer keeping things in place - Holy Spirit by the Word which is Spirit as Jesus said my Words are Spirit and life), reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Now the world is kept by the Spirit till the rapture till the day that our works be tried with fire in heaven and the world be judged by fire.
5) Born Again of the Spirit
John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
We have a spirit and soul and body sealed with the Holy Spirit when we are born again
prior to that we have a dead spirit and soul + body, which is 2/3 of a man .666:
1 Thes 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born again by the gospel of Paul - by Paul 1 Cor 4:15-16
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
1 Pet 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
in the parable of the sower we see that salvation is eternal once a good ground receives the seed of the Word of God, the sideways don't understand what is the Word and it's importance for salvation, the stony ground doesn't allow Jesus to take root in the heart - rejecting Jesus' suffering, as soon as persecution comes they are offended not willing to accept suffering, the ground with thorns is where the cares of life suffocate the Word before it even took root - 3 reasons why the Word never took root - there was no rebirth in the soil
But once there is rebirth the seed if not erjected is incorruptable, liveth and abideth forever.
Born to a lively hope to inherit an inheritance reserved in heaven 1 Pet 1:3-4
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Rom 7:6 Newness of Spirit that was born a new
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Rom 8:14 -17
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
1 Cor 2:12
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Our head is Christ as we are born again and have a new head and new mind
6) Spiritual circumcision
Col 2:6 ,9,11
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Walk in Spirit fulfil not the lusts of the flesh that is sinful, but now is cut off by spiritual circumcision
7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. We are His body now
10 And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power: He is our head
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; As His body contained the handwriting of ordinances - Jesus is the Word of God in flesh
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. As He stripped the power of death by stripping the power of the law over all sinful flesh to give them over to death, bythe new law of Spirit of life in Jesus Christ.
God circumcised His Son by the cross, He cut of Jesus flesh body and made Him a purely Spiritual body of our flesh that His Spirit dwels in us so are we one body with one Spirit
Rom 6:11-13
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Because Jesus and God in The Holy Spirit already made us dead in reality to sin unable to sin new creature of spirit+Holy Spirit+soul, only if I don't understand the gosple do I think I have to create a reality by reckoning it, in reality we are dead to sin unable to partake in it we have to realise it simply, not create this reality by mental projection,
12 Let (indicating a choice) not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield (indicating a choice) ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves (indicating a choice, carnal mind is unable to be subject unto God, indicating a rebirth as Spiritual being with Holy Spirit that is able to yield to God) unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
by the work of God that made this miraculous change.
Col 3:5
5 Mortify (Cut off, circumcise ) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Like the angel of God that tried to kill moses when he didn't circumcise his son Gershom
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off (by circumcision) all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; (by circumcision)
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Being born again of incorruptable seed
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. (Christ was circumcised)
7) Place in Heaven by death or rapture
Today in death of a born again, the soul goes to heaven body goes to grave,
in the old testament their sins were not yet forgiven by the blood of Jesus their soul went to the Abraham's bosom:
Luke 16:22
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
waiting for Jesus' day to come to release them from waiting in captivity till their sould be sanctified by the washing of Jesus blood so they can go into heaven
John 8:56
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
After preaching to the spirits in prison so they could be brought before God after their spirits have been washed by the blood of Christ to the remission of sins from their souls:
1 Pet 3: 18,19,21
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Jesus lead captivity captive
Ps 68:18
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
Eph 3:6-8
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Today as a saved person the second we die we are abscent from the body present with the Lord
2 Cor 5:6-8
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight: we see not Christ and His body but walk by believing what we know exists though we see it not.
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
We are confident to receive good for being confident, to be confident in Jesus is a good thing done in the body for everything done without faith is accounted for sin
Eph 2:5-6
Even when we were dead in sins, (dead spirit due to sin, guilty soul ready to be thrown in hell after the death of the body for sin accounted to it) hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: The Holy Spirit is in us and seated in heavenly places at the same time.
Before we had a place in heaven we would die and go to hell of torment or hell of Abraham's bosom
Luke 16:22,23
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Abraham's bosom was visible in hell, afar off the torment, but in the same plain.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
separated by a gulf rather then being in heaven
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. Abraham and Lazarus were in a place of the dead, but God is the God of living
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
We have a place in heaven John 14:
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
We know the way to heaven after we die or in the rapture by knowing Jesus
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
